Inspired by architecture and textures that I had seen while on a trip to Lisbon, I designed this laser cut sculpture. The varying, intense pattern creates chaos for the viewer and standing at just under two meters, it is something to gaze up to. Made with MDF and spray painted with a matte grey, I wanted to give it a metallic essence to perhaps generate intrigue. Finding its place has been difficult and having photographed it in an outdoor setting with the sun shining on it creates an impressive shadow and I feel that this is the sort of setting it belongs.
